YIQI Plastic is an engineering plastic manufacturer, not simply a trading company. We operate our own production workshop with plastic sheet production lines, cutting equipment, and CNC machining equipment.
We manage the production process from material selection and manufacturing to final inspection, helping ensure consistent dimensions, performance, and product quality.

YIQI Plastic is located in Zhengzhou, Henan Province, China. We supply engineering plastic materials and custom plastic components to customers worldwide.

What engineering plastic materials does YIQI Plastic offer?
YIQI Plastic mainly supplies HDPE, UHMWPE, and PVC engineering plastic materials. Our product range includes HDPE sheets, UHMWPE liner sheets, PE rods, PVC solid boards, ground protection mats, crane outrigger pads, chain guides, cutting boards, marine fender face pads, and custom-machined plastic parts.
Material grades, colors, dimensions, thicknesses, and shapes can be customized according to your application requirements.
What is the difference between POM, Nylon, PTFE and PEEK?
These four materials are designed for different operating conditions:
- POM offers high stiffness, good dimensional stability, and low moisture absorption. It is commonly used for precision gears, rollers, and mechanical components.
- Nylon provides good strength, toughness, and wear resistance, but it can absorb moisture and change dimensions.
- PTFE offers extremely low friction and excellent chemical resistance, but it has lower stiffness and load-bearing capacity.
- PEEK provides excellent mechanical strength, chemical resistance, and high-temperature performance, but it is more expensive.
The correct material depends on temperature, load, friction, chemicals, dimensional tolerance, and service life.
Which engineering plastic has the highest temperature resistance?
Among POM, Nylon, PTFE, and PEEK, PEEK generally provides the best combination of high-temperature resistance and mechanical strength.
PTFE can also operate at high temperatures and offers better chemical resistance, but it is softer and less suitable for heavily loaded precision parts. The final selection should be based on the material grade, continuous operating temperature, load, and surrounding chemicals.
Which plastic material has the best wear resistance?
For applications involving sliding, abrasion, or bulk-material handling, UHMWPE is one of the best wear-resistant materials in the YIQI Plastic product range.
It combines high abrasion resistance, impact resistance, low friction, and low water absorption. It is widely used for equipment liners, chain guides, chutes, marine components, and machinery wear parts.
Which engineering plastic has the lowest friction coefficient?
PTFE generally has the lowest friction coefficient among common engineering plastics. It is suitable for seals, sliding components, bearing surfaces, and chemically corrosive environments.
Within YIQI Plastic’s current product range, UHMWPE also provides excellent self-lubricating performance and a very low-friction surface. It is often selected for chain guides, liners, wear strips, and conveyor components.
Which material is suitable for chemical environments?
The best material depends on the chemical type, concentration, temperature, pressure, and exposure time.
- HDPE resists many acids, alkalis, salts, and moisture.
- UHMWPE combines chemical resistance with excellent wear and impact resistance.
- PVC is suitable for many acids, alkalis, and industrial chemical environments.
- PTFE is preferred when extremely broad chemical resistance is required.

Which engineering plastic is suitable for electrical insulation?
HDPE and PVC are commonly used for electrical insulation applications. HDPE provides good electrical insulation, moisture resistance, and chemical stability. PVC offers electrical insulation together with flame-retardant options and easy fabrication.
UHMWPE, POM, PTFE, and PEEK can also provide electrical insulation, but the correct material depends on voltage, temperature, dielectric requirements, flammability, and mechanical load.
Do you offer food-grade engineering plastics?
Yes. YIQI Plastic offers food-grade HDPE products, including PE cutting boards for food preparation, commercial kitchens, food-processing plants, supermarkets, and slaughterhouses.
Available colors, dimensions, and shapes can be customized. Food-contact documentation should be confirmed according to the selected material grade and the regulations required in your destination market.
Do you offer anti-static or conductive plastics?
Anti-static and conductive plastic grades are not listed as standard products in our current catalogue.
For projects requiring static-dissipative or electrically conductive materials, please provide the required surface resistance, volume resistance, material type, dimensions, operating environment, and order quantity. We will evaluate whether a suitable customized grade can be supplied.
Are recycled or modified engineering plastics available?
Recycled and modified grades are not listed as standard options in our current catalogue. Availability must be evaluated according to the required material, performance level, application, quantity, and certification requirements.
For applications requiring stable mechanical properties, dimensional consistency, food-contact compliance, or full material traceability, virgin material is generally recommended. Please specify the required recycled content or modification, such as UV resistance, flame retardancy, anti-static performance, or enhanced wear resistance.

How do I choose the right engineering plastic material?
Choose the material according to the part’s load, operating temperature, wear, impact, chemical exposure, friction, moisture, and dimensional requirements.
For example:
- Choose UHMWPE for high wear, impact, and low-friction applications.
- Choose HDPE for chemical resistance, moisture resistance, and general structural applications.
- Choose PVC for chemical environments, electrical insulation, and rigid panels.
The final selection should be based on actual operating conditions rather than material strength alone.
What information should I provide for material selection?

How does operating temperature affect plastic selection?
Temperature affects a plastic’s strength, stiffness, dimensions, wear resistance, and service life.
At higher temperatures, some plastics may soften, deform, creep, or lose load-bearing capacity. At low temperatures, certain materials may become more brittle.
Material selection should therefore consider both the continuous operating temperature and any short-term temperature peaks. Load and chemical exposure must also be considered because they can reduce the practical temperature limit.
How do chemicals affect engineering plastic performance?
Chemicals may cause plastic parts to swell, soften, crack, discolor, or lose mechanical strength. The effect depends on the chemical type, concentration, temperature, pressure, and exposure time.
HDPE, UHMWPE, and PVC resist many industrial chemicals, but no material is suitable for every chemical environment. Please provide the chemical name, concentration, temperature, and contact duration before selecting a material.
How do I choose a plastic for high-load applications?
For high-load applications, consider more than tensile strength. You should also evaluate:
- Compressive strength
- Stiffness
- Creep resistance
- Impact resistance
- Operating temperature
- Load duration
- Part thickness and support structure
UHMWPE is suitable where impact and wear resistance are important, such as crane outrigger pads and heavy-equipment components. However, applications requiring very high stiffness or long-term dimensional stability may need another engineering plastic or a reinforced grade.
How do I choose between plastic and metal parts?
Choose engineering plastic when you need:
- Lower weight
- Corrosion resistance
- Electrical insulation
- Low friction
- Reduced noise
- Resistance to moisture or chemicals
- Less lubrication
Choose metal when the part requires extremely high stiffness, very high load capacity, or exposure to temperatures beyond the plastic’s operating limit.
The best choice depends on the part’s load, temperature, precision, wear conditions, and expected service life.
Can YIQI Plastic recommend a material based on my application?
Yes. YIQI Plastic can evaluate your application and recommend a suitable HDPE, UHMWPE, PVC, or other available plastic solution.
Please provide your drawing, dimensions, operating temperature, load, chemical environment, wear conditions, quantity, and performance requirements. If an existing component is being replaced, you can also send photographs or a physical sample.
What is the difference between virgin and recycled plastic?
Virgin plastic is produced from new raw material. It generally provides more consistent mechanical properties, color, dimensions, and material traceability.
Recycled plastic contains previously processed material. It may reduce material costs and environmental impact, but its performance and appearance can vary depending on the source and recycled content.
Virgin material is generally preferred for demanding mechanical, food-contact, precision, or certification-sensitive applications. Recycled material availability should be confirmed for each project.
Does color affect the performance of engineering plastics?
Color itself does not always significantly change performance, but the pigments and additives used to create the color may affect UV resistance, heat absorption, electrical properties, and regulatory compliance.
For example, black materials often contain carbon black that can improve outdoor UV resistance. Light-colored materials may absorb less solar heat, while food-grade colors require suitable pigments.
YIQI Plastic can customize colors, but the required performance and certification should be confirmed before production.
Can engineering plastics replace aluminum, steel or bronze?
Yes. Engineering plastics can replace metal in suitable applications, especially where low weight, corrosion resistance, electrical insulation, low friction, and reduced maintenance are important.
UHMWPE may replace metal in liners, chain guides, wear strips, marine components, and sliding parts. HDPE can replace metal in moisture-resistant panels, tanks, pads, and outdoor components.
However, plastics have lower stiffness and different thermal-expansion and creep characteristics. The replacement should therefore be verified according to load, temperature, tolerances, and service conditions.

Can I get a sample before placing an order?
Yes. YIQI Plastic can provide standard material samples or arrange prototype production before a bulk order. Sample availability depends on the material, product type, dimensions, and customization requirements.

Are samples free?
Sample charges depend on the product.
Standard material samples may be available at a low cost or free of charge, while customized, oversized, or CNC-machined samples normally require a sample fee. Shipping costs are generally confirmed separately.
Any sample charge and refund terms will be clearly stated before production.
What is your minimum order quantity?
The minimum order quantity depends on the material, product type, dimensions, and manufacturing process.
Standard HDPE, UHMWPE, PE, and PVC products generally have more flexible MOQs. Customized colors, special dimensions, molded products, and machined components may require a higher minimum quantity.
Is the MOQ different for standard and custom products?
Yes. Standard sheets, rods, boards, and other regular products generally have lower MOQs because common specifications may already be available.
Custom colors, non-standard dimensions, special formulations, irregular parts, and CNC-machined components may require a higher MOQ due to material preparation, machine setup, tooling, and production costs.

However, a physical sample may not provide complete information about tolerances, material grade, or operating conditions. Supplying a drawing or technical specification together with the sample will improve quotation accuracy.
Can you sign an NDA before reviewing drawings?
Yes. YIQI Plastic can review and sign a reasonable non-disclosure agreement before receiving confidential drawings, designs, or project information.
The NDA should clearly define the confidential information, permitted use, confidentiality period, and responsibilities of both parties. Our team will review the document before signing.
